Which author is required to take action in the Sage Open Access Portal?

Modified on Mon, 11 Nov at 9:37 AM

When an article enters the Sage Open Access Portal, an email is sent to the corresponding author with all co-authors copied. At this stage, either the corresponding author or any co-author can use the button provided in the invitation email to sign the open access license.

Therefore, it is not required that the corresponding author takes action on the article in the Sage Open Access Portal. In fact, any author is able to complete the process. Once an author logs in to the portal and signs a license, they are classed as the 'transacting author'. From this point on, only the 'transacting author' will be able to complete the following steps, such as nominate a bill payer.
