How do I know if I have received a waiver or discount on the APC?

Once an article reaches our Sage Open Access Portal, the authors will receive an automated email. This email will include your article information, a link to access the portal and note if you have been offered a waiver or discount.

If you have been offered a waiver or discount, this will also be quoted as you access the Sage Open Access Portal.

Example 1: 20% discount offered

The invitation email sent to the authors from the Sage Open Access Portal explains that a discount has been applied to the APC. This is shown in the screenshot below:

Once the link in the invitation email is used to access the Sage Open Access Portal, the 20% discount is quoted on the first page you are taken to. This is shown in the screenshot below:

Example 2: 100% waiver offered

The invitation email sent to the authors from the Sage Open Access Portal explains that an 100% waiver has been applied to the APC and no payment is required. This is shown in the screenshot below:

Once the link in the invitation email is used to access the Sage Open Access Portal, the 100% waiver is quoted on the first page you are taken to. It will also state: 'No payment is required to make your article open access. There will be no charge to you'. This is shown in the screenshot below:
