Overview
Sage Choice offers authors the opportunity to make their manuscripts Open Access after acceptance for publication. The program allows authors to choose Open Access or by being eligible for an Open Access agreement.
Although Sage Choice is offered for the majority of subscription journals, there are a few journals that do not provide this option. There is a list of Sage Choice Journal and Pricing Exceptions on our website.
For most journals, you no longer need to request Sage Choice to make your article open access. Instead, you will be contacted directly via email through Sage Journals Licensing & Payment portal, and you can follow the instructions provided in the portal. However, for a few specific journals, you will still need to request Sage Choice. In these cases, please follow the instructions outlined below to complete the process.
